Volastra is an ancient village, located behind Manarola, in La Spezia province. It rises in the territory of Cinque Terre National Park and UNESCO site of Porto Venere, Cinque Terre and Islands (Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto). The characteristic circular plan suggests that the foundation of the village may have occured during Etruscan times.
In its territory the cultivation of vineyards is practiced in the typical Ligurian dry-wall terraces, with the production of the local Sciachetra' wine.
The Bottega di Volastra is a delicious and peaceful apartment for rent with indipendent entrance, located in the historic center. Completely restored and modernized, respecting the original characteristics, the house's name comes from its origins, having been obtained from the original shop ("Bottega" means shop) of the village, dated back to the last century.
La Bottega di Volastra Cinque Terre apartment offers every comfort, an incomparable sea view, a private car park and the proximity to useful services such as a minimarket, two restaurants and the bus stop to Manarola downtown and train station. All of them far no more than few meters from the house.
Watching the sea, you will find Manarola and Riomaggiore down on your left and Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso on your right side.
La Bottega di Volastra Cinque Terre apartment is few meters far from all these paths and in the middle of the hiking area; so the best solution to move all around Five Lands by foot.
And also, Volastra is located on a small hill above Manarola so, because the smallest difference in altitude, easier for beginners and children, if they desire to start slowly.
But, if you want to climb more, no problem: behind the village you will find trails climb up to the ridge of mountains.
